Formal Dinner

In February 2006 we put on the first of what we hope will be many Formal Dinners. A large number of our Philosophy and Religious Studies students enjoyed a superb dinner and something of the atmosphere of a university formal occasion. After dinner guest Ken Leyland awarded the BMS Farmington Essay Prize - a cheque for £100 - to Nick Evans; Dr Rowley spoke on some of the formal occasions he has experienced in the past (and the All Soul's Mallard!); and Mr Kendall, with his tongue very firmly in his cheek, presented some awards and certificates to various students, for example the Rodin Award for the most serious thinker.
